Archived Job Postings#

The skills taught in this course are the skills that financial firms ask for when they hire research engineers and data engineers, the people who work alongside quantitative researchers. The course map quotes ten of these postings and matches their language to the course schedule, week by week. This page preserves the postings themselves.

Job postings are ephemeral. Once a role is filled the page is taken down, and a link that supported an argument stops resolving. (One posting I had collected while researching this material, a DRW “Python Data Engineer” role, had already vanished from DRW’s site before I finished writing.) To keep the evidence inspectable, each posting is preserved here on its own page with the full text, a screenshot, a PDF snapshot, and a link to a Wayback Machine copy. All were collected in August 2026.

These ten are the postings the course map quotes, preserved in full. They are a sample of a much larger collection: what firms ask for reports a few thousand postings from 64 firms, with the methods behind it. The full text of that collection lives in the private job_postings repository rather than on this site; see the course README for how to browse it.

Excerpts quoted from these postings are for educational commentary; full attribution and source links appear on each page.
